How Did Chloe Grace Moretz Turn Down Taylor Swift’s Invite to the ‘Squad’?

Last year, Taylor Swift took over a chock full of international stages throughout the 1989 World Tour and also through bringing her good-looking squad along that included Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, and Kendall Jenner.

It all seems too perfect and logical that these people would be together. But Chloe Grace Moretz seems to know something else. In her latest interview with Complex, the 19-year old actress shies away from directly replying how she accepted or turned down Taylor’s squad and how she declined the offer. “She’s a very talented person,” says Chloe as the interviewer tries to pry more about the invite.

She does, however, give her opinion on squads. “[Squads] appropriate exclusivity. They’re cliques,” she tells the pop culture publication. Furthermore, she goes on to state how she can’t really talk about the inner working of friendships in entertainment.

Hmm…should we expect a comment from Taylor from this statement or will the pop queen simply shake it off? After all, she’s still got some beef with Kanye.

Pharrell and model Cara Delevingne sing and dance for Chanel

PARIS - Chanel unveiled a sneak peek Monday of a splashy music video featuring US pop star Pharrell Williams and British supermodel Cara Delevingne that retraces the birth of the fashion house's iconic jacket.

A sample of the clip has Williams in the role of Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph waltzing in a dark and dreamy ballroom with wife Sisi, played by Delevingne, who's gone brunette for the occasion.

The full eight-minute video, directed by designer Karl Lagerfeld, is to premiere at Chanel's December 2 fashion show in Austria.

In the clip, titled "Reincarnation," the musician behind the global hit "Happy" sings his new song "CC The World" with the model, according to Chanel.

It's a video drawn from the moment that inspired fashion house founder Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel to create her iconic jacket.

In that episode Chanel was staying at a hotel in the suburbs of Salzburg in 1954 when the outfit of a lift operator there gave her the idea for the piece of fashion history.

"It was the moment to show the origins of the Chanel jacket ... the jacket of a lift operator reincarnated as a timeless piece of women's clothing," said Lagerfeld.

After Mumbai, Edinburgh and Dallas, the fashion house has chosen the 18th century rococo Leopoldskron Palace in Salzburg for this year's "Metiers d'art" event, which showcases the work of skilled artisans. — Agence France-Presse

Mulberry launches Cara Delevingne bag range

LONDON - Luxury fashion group Mulberry has unveiled a new collection of bags in collaboration with British model Cara Delevingne, hoping to improve its fortunes after a profit warning and problems overseas.

The made-in-England Cara Delevingne Collection, which features three sizes in three different finishes, was launched by Mulberry in London on Sunday.

Delevingne, who has "Made in England" tattooed on her foot, has shot to fame modeling for luxury brands such as Burberry and Chanel and is a regular face in fashion magazines and on advertising billboards.

She has also been the face of two recent Mulberry campaigns.

Under its boss Bruno Guillon, Mulberry has increased prices to take its brand more upmarket from a traditional position of "affordable luxury" and moved to raise the company's profile overseas, targeting affluent Asian shoppers with new stores in key tourist spots.

Those efforts were undone over the key Christmas period as Mulberry suffered from fierce discounting by rivals and weaker demand in South Korea, forcing it to issue a profit warning that sent its shares tumbling.

The firm, which made around 65 percent of its sales in the UK in 2013, has focused on improving the quality of its products and committed to making half of its handbags in England as it seeks a higher-end position for the brand.

Prices of the new range, Mulberry's first celebrity collaboration since it teamed up with US singer Lana Del Rey in May 2012, will start at £890 ($1,500) and go up to £2,500, the firm said. — Reuters
