Marian posts first photo of Baby Maria Letizia

Marian Rivera on Thursday took to Instagram to show the world its first glimpse of Maria Letizia, her baby with husband Dingdong Dantes.

"41 weeks akong nag hintay , 18 hrs na nag labor. Sa mga oras na iyon, hindi ko inaasahang makakaya ko ang lahat. Pero dahil andiyan ka sa tabi ko, sa iyo ako kumuha ng lakas. Salamat Mahal ko. @dongdantes," she wrote on the caption.

"At sa araw nga na iyon ng Nov 23, tuluyan na talaga tayong naging kumpleto; kasama ng Panginoon, ikaw, ako, at siya- si Maria Letizia. Ngayon, masasabi ko na tayo'y isa nang ganap na pamilya, at ako'y isa nang ganap na ina. Napakasarap ng biyayang ito. ?? #MariaLetizia"

Fans of Dingdong and Marian allotted an area in front of church to view wedding

 

With their wedding a much-anticipated event, fans of Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera will be allowed to share in the moment outside the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City.

 

In an interview with Unang Hirit on Tuesday, Adlai Astoriano, head of security for the wedding, said fans are allowed at a certain area in front of the church, where they set up barricades.

 

"Pwedeng tumayo 'yung mga tao dito, pero hindi lang dito sa loob (ng barricades), para lang ma-clear natin 'yung area, and hindi magulo 'yung activity natin later," he said.

 

 

 

 

He added: "Medyo mahirap i-secure ito dahil nasa open area tayo, but we had about three months [of] preparations para sa security."

 

The area enclosed by the barricades will serve as the drop-off point of guests, as well as the bride, he added.

 

A widescreen has also been set up in front of the cathedral for the fans to witness the wedding from outside. The wedding ceremony is scheduled at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday.

 

 

 

Roads closed

 

Some roads around the church have also been closed:

• New York - E. Rodriguez Sr.
• Seattle - Aurora Boulevard
• Boston - Aurora Boulevard
• Boston - Lantana
• Lantana - Aurora Boulevard. 

 

"Right now may total closure na tayo. Bubuksan natin siguro ito mamaya pang 9 p.m.," he said.

 

Astoriano said they have coordinated with the barangay, which in turn talked to the residents of the area "to bear with us" for the said event.

 

For his part, Ramon Salas, captain of Barangay Immaculate Conception, said they prepared for the wedding as early as October.

 

He said most of the residents there are "excited" that Dantes and Rivera's wedding will take place there. 

 

"Mixed emotions ang reaction nila. 'Yung iba excited, 'yung iba hindi nila maintindihan, pero overall, masaya naman 'yung mga tao," he said.

 

He added that Dantes is a "son" of the barangay, having been raised there.

  

"Anak po talaga siya ng Barangay Immaculate at siyempre ipinagmamalaki po namin siya dito," Salas said. —Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/KG, GMA News

Marian Rivera bags Most Favourite Foreign Actress in Vietnam’s Today TV Face of the Year Awards 2014

GMA Network’s Primetime Queen Marian Rivera continues her hot streak after she received the “Most Favourite Foreign Actress” recognition in Vietnam’s Today TV Face of the Year Awards 2014 last January 8.

“Sobra akong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng Vietnamese fans ko sa pagkapili sa akin bilang Most Favourite Foreign Actress. I am very grateful for their overwhelming support. Napakasaya ko dahil sa karangalang ito, napatunayan ko kung gaano ako kamahal ng mga Vietnamese,”  Marian said.

Last year, Marian went to Vietnam to appear on several shows on Today TV, one of the largest and first free-to-air TV stations to ever air Filipino dramas in the country, and to personally meet her Vietnamese fans and supporters. Three of her shows, Marimar, Dyesebel and Temptation of Wife, have gained a huge following in the South East Asian country.

This year, Marian will continue to charm the Vietnamese audiences as her show, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Akin Tadyang (Dangerous Love), will be aired on Today TV.

According to Today TV, the special award given to Marian was based on online votes and the awarding ceremony of Face of the Year Awards 2014 will happen in December this year.
