#ALDUBMostAwaitedDate breaks #ALDUBTheAbduction record with 8M tweets

The AlDub love team in Eat Bulaga's kalyeserye set another social media record, with nearly eight million tweets on Saturday afternoon.

As of 2:29 p.m., #ALDENMostAwaitedDate was tweeted 8.1 million times.

The hashtag topped the Philippines and worldwide trends.

The number is expected to increase as Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub and Aldren Richards have yet to meet for a date during this afternoon's kalyeserye episode.

Last Saturday, #ALDUBTheAbduction broke Twitter records with more than 6 million tweets in just 24 hours.

The previous week, #ALDUBBATTELForACause broke Twitter records with over 5 million tweets. This followed the 3.5-million record tweets for #ALDUBMaiDenHeaven.
