Taylor Swift saves Dave Grohl from embarrassment at McCartney’s gig
Pop icon Taylor Swift is not only good in moving on after a romantic breakup, but also in saving someone from embarrassment.
Rock band “Foo Fighters” lead Dave Grohl narrated an encounter with Swift and “The Beatles” legend Paul McCartney while he played a solo performance on Thursday night at Cannes Lions, an international advertising festival.
Grohl told the audience that he had attended a party at McCartney’s house, and when McCartney positioned his fingers in his piano, he invited Grohl to jam with him.
Grohl can’t play the piano and McCartney had a left-handed guitar. There was another hindrance, too: Grohl had smoked weed during the party.
Out of nowhere, Swift stood up and “got Grohl’s back” as she started hitting the piano keys with Grohl trying to jam along on one of McCartney’s guitars, according to Hollywood News site US Weekly.
“She was playing this beautiful thing on the piano, I looked at my wife and, I know this [fucking] song,” he narrated. Soon, he realized that Swift was playing Foo Fighter’s “Best of You,” one of Grohl’s famous hits.
“That blew me into outer space,” he said, and praised the Grammy-award singer, whom he calls a “Batman.”
Grohl complimented Swift’s fantastic vocal skills before he played an acoustic version of the track during Thursday’s festival. Gianna Francesca Catolico
