This feature was apparently developed at Facebook’s 50th Hackathon, which included various core hackers including Bob Baldwin, Hermes Pique, Sameer Madan, Muhammed Ibrahim and Bully Ng.
Baldwin was also responsible in leading teams that developed the features of posting photos or stickers on threads.
