Following her recent Pepsi advertisement wrangle, Kendall Jenner has moved on brandishing her newest achievement.

The 21-year-old supermodel gushed about her portrait screened on the iconic Empire State Building in celebration of Harper’s Bazaar’s 150th anniversary on Thursday (Wednesday in the US). Jenner, who shared the photo on her Instagram page, is the face of the fashion magazine’s May issue and her cover was flashed on the skyscraper’s facade.

In a similar Instagram post, Kendall’s mother and manager Kris Jenner expressed her “proud mom” moment upon sighting Kendall in the night sky.

“The moment when I looked out across the city and saw my daughter’s image on The Empire State Building…so breathtaking,” Kris captioned her post.

A slew of Hollywood A-Listers was also featured in the dazzling spectacle, such as Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Aniston, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor.

Earlier this month, Jenner starred in a commercial for soft drink titan Pepsi, which reaped a storm of backlash from social media users and activists of the “Black Lives Matter” movement. Maine Mendoza, Jeron Teng win in Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

TV personality and the other half of the “AlDub” love team Maine Mendoza and De La Salle University cager Jeron Teng both got an orange blimp for winning at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Fans voted for Mendoza to win the Favorite Pinoy Personality Award. She beat out Enrique Gil, James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo for the said title.

She was not able to get her blimp personally, however, she opted to give a short message to her fans. “I’m away for vacation, maybe this will do, for now. I love you all,” she said.

Meanwhile, Teng was picked by fans as their Favorite Asian Sports Star. He beat out Pandelela of Malaysia, Kim Kurniawan of Indonesia and Irfan Fandi of Singapore for the award.

In his message, the La Salle basketball star said he hopes to inspire kids to become a student-athlete like him.

“I wanna thank everyone who supported and voted for me. And I just feel really blessed right now, and I just hope for the kids to… I hope I can inspire them to be a student-athlete like me. And God bless everyone,” he said. AJH/RAM

Actress Sarah Lahbati posts P10k bail for libel case

 

Following her return to the Philippines, actress and TV personality Sarah Lahbati on Friday posted P10,000 bail before the Makati City Regional Trial Court.

 

The bail was in connection with the libel suit lodged against her by GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar, over posts Lahbati allegedly made on her Twitter account.

 

Among those who accompanied Lahbati in posting bail at the Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 59 were her mother and lawyer, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported.

The report said the court set Aug. 22 as the date for Lahbati's arraignment, where she has to personally appear.

Gozon-Abrogar lodged a libel suit against Lahbati over posts on Lahbati's Twitter account linking the GMA Films president to alleged irregularities in management.

 

Earlier this year, Lahbati left the country supposedly to go on vacation in Switzerland. —KG, GMA News
