Kate Hudson announces she's pregnant with a baby girl

"Something Borrowed" actor Kate Hudson announces her pregnancy in a fun and energy-filled video on her Instagram account on Saturday,

In the video she's seen jumping in excitement with her whole family as they popped big giant black balloons that exploded with mini pink balloons, which revealed that she and her musician boyfriend Danny Fujikawa are expecting a baby girl.

In the caption she explained that this was the reason for her absence on her social media accounts.

"SURPRISE!!!  If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick! It was the most sick first trimester of all my children. Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food instagrams make me queezy and thinking too much about insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been," Kate wrote on her Instagram account.

She said it has become challenging and exhausting to hide her pregnancy since she'a already "poppin'."

"If you’ve seen me out and about smiling and pretending like everything is amazing...I was lying! BUT! I have broken through on the other end of that and rediscovering the joys of insta/snap. We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I’m a poppin now! And it’s too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way," she continued.

Kate has two other children, Ryder Russell Robinson, 14, her son with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, and Bingham Hawn Bellamy, 6, her son with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

The couple made their red carpet debut as a couple last May, but Hudson told "The Talk" that they have known each other for 15 years. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News

A slew of Hollywood A-Listers was also featured in the dazzling spectacle, such as Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Aniston, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor.

Earlier this month, Jenner starred in a commercial for soft drink titan Pepsi, which reaped a storm of backlash from social media users and activists of the “Black Lives Matter” movement. Pepsi pulled down the advertisement and Jenner, who was reportedly “traumatized” by the uproar, has kept mum on the issue.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra

Police study DNA from Kim Kardashian robbery scene

PARIS, France — French investigators are studying several DNA samples found in the Paris apartment where Kim Kardashian was tied up and robbed at gunpoint of $10 million in jewels, sources close to the inquiry said Tuesday.

“These DNA samples are currently being analyzed,” one of the sources told AFP.

However, no DNA has been recovered from Kardashian’s diamond pendant that was found in the street by a passerby near her luxury residence just hours after the crime, the sources said.

The multi-millionaire US reality TV star, who was in the French capital for Paris fashion week, was robbed on October 3 by five men posing as police officers.

Kardashian was tied up and locked in the bathroom while the robbers helped themselves to a ring worth around four million euros ($4.5 million) and a case of jewelery with a value of five million euros ($5.6 million).

Two mobile phones were also stolen during the hold up in the chic Madeleine district of Paris, near the city’s main department stores.

The mother of two and wife of rap superstar Kanye West flew home to the US after being questioned by police over the incident, which a spokeswoman said had left her “badly shaken”.

Kardashian has been a fixture of US celebrity news for more than a decade, known mainly for the TV show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and a leaked sex tape. CBB

Jennifer Lawrence tops list of best paid actresses

LOS ANGELES, United States — Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence was named the world’s highest-paid actress for the second year running on Tuesday, with estimated pre-tax earnings of $46 million.

The 26-year-old American raked in the lion’s share from a profit share in the final “Hunger Games” movie, which grossed $650 million, Forbes magazine said.

An upfront fee for the forthcoming space thriller “Passengers” also helped the 26-year-old push her pay day above second-ranked Melissa McCarthy, who pocketed $33 million.

The world’s 10 highest-paid actresses made a combined $205 million in the 12 months from June 1, 2015 before fees and taxes, said Forbes.

But the actors’ list due to be published on Thursday is expected to show once again men banking far more than their female counterparts.

The issue of pay disparity grabbed headlines in 2014 after a leak of stolen emails from Sony Pictures Entertainment showed that Lawrence was paid less than her male co-stars in the hit movie “American Hustle.”

Patricia Arquette also railed against the industry’s gender-based wage gap during her acceptance speech after winning a statuette at last year’s Academy Awards.

Lawrence, who took the best actress Oscar for 2012 comedy-drama “Silver Linings Playbook,” is down from $52 million in last year’s list, although she is still considered Hollywood’s hottest property by some distance.

McCarthy, 45, earned $10 million more than the 2015 estimate thanks to a reported eight-figure payday for “Ghostbusters.”

Perennial A-list darling Scarlett Johansson came in third with $25 million, while Jennifer Aniston, who makes most of her cash through endorsements, bagged $21 million.

Fan Bingbing of China, a relative unknown in Hollywood, rounded out the top five, making the list for the second consecutive year with $17 million.

India’s Deepika Padukone — who made $10 million — was the only other actress from outside Hollywood to feature in the rankings.

The 30-year-old, who came 10th, earns far less than her Tinseltown counterparts for her Bollywood roles, but compensates with more than a dozen lucrative endorsements, Forbes said.

Four women, up from three in 2015, banked more than $20 million compared with 18 of the world’s leading men, Forbes said.

Jennifer Aniston is People’s Most Beautiful Woman

NEW YORK  — She’ll be there for you. People Magazine has named Jennifer Aniston its “World’s Most Beautiful Woman” of 2016.

The 47-year-old actress graces the cover of People’s 27th annual “World’s Most Beautiful” double issue.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God,'” Aniston tells People in this week’s cover story upon hearing the news. “There was this sort of very excited, teenage-y kind of moment.”

The actress, who gained fame as Rachel on “Friends,” also tells the magazine that she’s learned to embrace her appearance over the years, and feels her best when she’s healthy and strong. She says she became motivated to take care of herself early in her career, when her agent told her she didn’t get a part because she was too chubby.

“It’s funny, it’s a really quick transition from, not a care, and now all of a sudden, we’ve got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies,” she says. “And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s.”

Asked what she has learned to accept over the years about her appearance, the actress replies laughingly: “Well, I’ve never loved my butt. It’s sort of a thing. I used to have a bubble butt and was teased. Now people are paying money to get things injected.”

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s community service questioned in court

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles judge on Wednesday gave a prosecutor more time to investigate whether actress Lindsay Lohan failed to complete her community service requirements in a reckless driving case.

Santa Monica city prosecutor Terry White will present his findings in court on Feb. 18 after disputing Lohan's claim that she completed her sentence while living in London, Lohan's attorney, Shawn Holley, said.

The 28-year-old "Mean Girls" star was ordered to complete 30 days of community service in addition to rehabilitation and therapy as part of a 2013 plea deal after she crashed her Porsche into a dump truck near Los Angeles en route to the set of TV movie "Liz & Dick" and later lied to police.

The former child star known more for her legal troubles than big-screen roles has been living in London where Holley says she has completed her community service.

White alleges Lohan, who was not at the hearing, received credit for a "meet-and-greet" with fans as well as letting two young people shadow her while at work, according to City News Service.

Lohan has been arrested in the past for drunk driving and theft before the 2012 car crash. She has been on probation since 2007 and gone to rehab six times. —Reuters

Justin Bieber hearing set for May in Canada

OTTAWA - The next hearing on Canadian pop star Justin Bieber's assault charge for striking a limousine driver on the back of the head was set for May 12, court officials said Monday.

The troubled celeb was not in court for the routine pretrial hearing, nor were the throngs of teenage girls that showed up last month hoping for a glimpse of their idol.

Instead, Bieber was represented by his lawyer and the proceedings wrapped up very quickly after prosecutors provided additional disclosures in the case.

The actual trial date has yet to be set.

Toronto police have accused Bieber of hitting a limousine driver "several times" over the back of the head. The car had picked him and five others up from a nightclub in the city in the early hours of December 30. Agence France-Presse

Another Paris Hilton Beach Club underway, says Century Property Group

Hotel heiress and celebrity Paris Hilton and listed real property developer Century Properties Group Inc. are teaming up again for another project after launching a condominium development featuring a man-made beach.

The project with Hilton will involve "another beach" similar to this development in Parañaque City, Century Properties chairman Jose E.B. Antonio told reporters Thursday.

"Merong Paris Beach Club, Part Two," he said.

However, he declined to discuss further details of the project.

On Thursday, Hilton unveiled her first real estate project in the Philippines, the Paris Beach Club at the  Century Properties Azure Urban Resort Residences.

"I can't believe how fast the project was accomplished. This is probably the one project I'm most proud about because real estate is something that runs in my blood," she said.

Century Properties co-chief operating officer John Victor Antonio said having Paris Hilton on board added premium to the development, which centers on providing resort-themed residential living experience.

Prior to her real estate investment, the hotel heiress has gone into the business of fragrances, handbags, clothing, shoes and accessories.

Five months after a photo of Katharine McPhee kissing "Smash" director Michael Morris made its way out online, the "American Idol" alum is seen with her husband Nick Cokas. McPhee and Cokas were pictured walking their dogs on Monday, March 10.

In a photo obtained by TMZ, the couple can be seen sporting casual outfits. Cokas wore a blue top, jeans and sneakers while the 29-year-old singer/actress opted for short denim pants and a matching top. Her hair was tied and she wore sunglasses.

Larger than life Oprah celebrating 60th birthday quietly at home

LOS ANGELES - Fifty came with a televised bash, celebrity friends and a black-tie dinner, but Oprah Winfrey will have a low-key 60th birthday at home in California on Wednesday.

The billionaire media entrepreneur will have a "quiet dinner" in the seaside town of Montecito, 90 miles (145 km) northwest of Los Angeles, says a source familiar with her plans.

Winfrey had previously said she would have "the biggest blowout party I can dream of," but scaled back the affair after the guest list grew too large, the source said.

Instead, last week she and her friends in West Hollywood attended a birthday SoulCycle spin class, an indoor stationary cycling exercise with motivational coaching. Winfrey posted a video online after the class with a group of people wearing navy blue T-shirts with "Happy Birthday Oprah" on the front.

A self-made woman, she rose from poverty as an African American born to a teenage mother in rural Mississippi to become one of the world's most powerful celebrities, with an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

She runs her own cable TV channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network, in partnership with Discovery Communications Inc.

Winfrey's popular daytime talk show ended in 2011, and her trademark interviews were a must for public figures looking to remake their images.

She told CBS television's "This Morning" program last October: "The 6-0 number, I've always said to people to own it. Even I, who has said to women all these years, own it, own it, own it, took a pause for that."

Her 50th birthday party in 2004 on her "Oprah Winfrey Show" featured actor John Travolta, comedian Jay Leno and singers Tina Turner and Stevie Wonder, who all surprised her on set. She followed up with a high-profile luncheon and black-tie dinner. —Reuters

Zach Braff back at Sundance with tragicomedy ‘Wish I Was Here’

PARK CITY, Utah - After exploring the quarter-life crises of young adults in the critical and commercial hit "Garden State" a decade ago, actor-director Zach Braff turned his eye to examine the existential dilemmas faced by parents in his new film "Wish I Was Here."

Braff plays 35-year-old Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor and married father of two, who decides to home school his children after the family can no longer afford the tuition for the private Jewish school the kids attend.

As Aidan battles with his own spiritual beliefs while he attempts to teach his "indoctrinated little matzo balls," he must find the motivation to move into a new chapter in his life and finally take responsibility for being a father who provides for his family.

"Wish I Was Here" marks Braff's return to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival exactly 10 years after he made his directorial debut with "Garden State," a film that garnered the actor-director critical praise and became a cult hit.

As an actor, Braff, 38, rose to prominence as daydreaming doctor J.D. on television sitcom "Scrubs," and "Wish I Was Here" sees him reunite with fellow "Scrubs" cast member Donald Faison, who plays a small role.

Braff, who co-wrote the film with his brother, Adam, told the audience at the movie's premiere this weekend that "Wish I Was Here" reflected the personal experiences that the two of them have had in their lives.

"'Garden State' was all the things me and my 25-year-old friends were obsessing about and talking about and worried about," Braff said. "With this, my brother and I are sharing the things we're talking about. He's got two young children, so what are the things he's wrestling with and teaching them? For me, it's my own spirituality." Braff does not have children.

He blends moments of levity and gravity in his film, from a rabbi on a Segway driving into a wall to his dying father, Gabe, wanting to make amends with his two sons. In one poignant moment, Gabe, played by actor Mandy Patinkin, says, "When life becomes tragic, it always circles back to comedy," something that "Wish I Was Here" plays with throughout.

The film's final touching scenes brought tears to most in the premiere's audience, generating a standing ovation for Braff.

"With films, the ones I love the most are the ones that are someone's unique story," the director said. "This is a unique story. No one else could tell this story that my brother and I wrote."

The film that Kickstarter made

"Wish I Was Here" has already gained buzz after Braff sought partial funding through crowdsourcing website Kickstarter in April 2013, raising $2 million within 48 hours and $3 million overall from more than 46,000 people.

Braff said he was encouraged by his producer, Stacey Sher, to use Kickstarter after being discouraged by traditional methods of funding that would force him and his brother to make significant sacrifices in their script.

"(Sher) said it is kind of ballsy to put yourself out there ... but if it were to work, there would be no compromises, you and your brother could make the film you had in your brain, with all its weirdness," the filmmaker said.

The project also drew a strong cast of well-known names. Actress Kate Hudson plays Aidan's wife, Sarah, who supports her husband's acting dreams but also finds herself masking her own unhappiness and frustrations of being the sole provider for the family as she struggles through a mundane job.

Josh Gad plays Aidan's reclusive brother, Noah, who is stuck in a state of permanent adolescence, while Joey King plays Aidan's pre-teen daughter, Grace, who is upset at leaving her Jewish school where she found comfort in faith. In one scene, Grace shaves her head, which King did for real on camera.

"That was a really scary experience for me but it was a growing experience for my career," the young actress said.

The film also features a small appearance by actor James Avery, who passed away in December. Braff said the actor, best known for playing Uncle Phil in long-running 1990s situation comedy "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," improvised the jokes for his scene.

"I'm glad that the last thing he did on film gets a giant laugh; I think he'd be happy about that," Braff said. — Reuters

Adam Sandler tops Forbes' list of most-overpaid actors

LOS ANGELES - American comedian Adam Sandler topped Forbes' list of Hollywood's most-overpaid actors, commanding a high up-front fee while delivering middling returns, the magazine said on Monday.

Sandler, 47, the star of recent comedies "Jack & Jill" and "That's My Boy," dethroned Eddie Murphy for the dubious distinction. Forbes estimated that Sandler's last three films returned an average of $3.40 for every dollar he was paid.

Murphy topped last year's list, returning an average of $2.30 at the box office for each dollar earned.

Katherine Heigl, who starred in the poorly performing films "Killers" and "One for the Money," placed slightly behind Sandler, returning an average of $3.50 per every dollar she earned.

The list, compiled annually by Forbes, counts the last three films an actor has starred in over the past three years. This year's list was cut off at June 1, and so it excluded Sandler's buddy comedy "Grown Ups 2," which was released in July and performed well at the box office.

Forbes did not say how much Sandler earned on his last three films. But the magazine said he was one of the few movie stars who could still command more than $15 million per film, on an "up front" arrangement. Hollywood studios in recent years have shifted to paying smaller up-front fees and tie actors' pay with the film's box office performance.

The magazine said it examined actors' pay, film budgets and expenses to calculate the average return an actor brings per dollar paid.

Reese Witherspoon, the star of recent films "Water for Elephants" and "This Means War," was third on this list, with an average return of $3.90 for every dollar she was paid.

Nicholas Cage was fourth, with a $6 average return, and comedian Kevin James was fifth, returning an average of $6.10. — Reuters

Production on 'Fast & Furious 7' shut down

LOS ANGELES - Universal Pictures has shut down production of action sequel "Fast & Furious 7" to consider its options for the franchise following the death of actor Paul Walker, the studio said on Wednesday.

"At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on 'Fast & Furious 7' for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise," Universal Pictures, a unit of Comcast Corp , said in a statement.

As this developed, the Los Angeles Country coroner said Walker "died from "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" in the car accident that claimed his life.

Walker, 40, was a passenger in a fiery one-car crash on Saturday in Santa Clarita, California, about 30 miles (50 km) northwest of Los Angeles.

The driver of the Porsche Carrera GT, Roger Rodas, died of multiple traumatic injuries, the coroner said.  — Reuters

Actor Wentworth Miller says he's gay, turns down Russian festival invite

LOS ANGELES - Actor and screenwriter Wentworth Miller, best known for his leading role in Fox television drama "Prison Break," came out as a gay man on Wednesday in a letter declining an invitation to attend a Russian film festival in light of Moscow's recently adopted anti-gay laws.

Miller, 41, turned down an offer to attend the St. Petersburg International Film Festival as a "guest of honor" in a letter posted on the website of advocacy group GLAAD, which monitors media representation of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people and issues.

"Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a gay man, I must decline," Miller wrote to festival director Maria Averbakh.

Miller wrote that he was "deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government," and did not want attend a festival in a country where "people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly."

Russia's parliament banned the spread of gay "propaganda" among minors in a law passed in June, which includes imposing fines on those holding gay pride rallies, has attracted international condemnation.

Miller, who played incarcerated structural engineer Michael Scofield in Fox's "Prison Break" from 2005 to 2009, has recently turned his hand at screenwriting, penning the script for this year's dark thriller "Stoker," starring Nicole Kidman.

Miller's letter comes after Bravo channel host and executive producer Andy Cohen told E! News last week that he would not be co-hosting Donald Trump's Miss Universe pageant this year in Moscow because he "didn't feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia." — Reuters

Angelina Jolie highest earning U.S. actress - Forbes

NEW YORK - Angelina Jolie, who will next be seen on the big screen in the film "Maleficent," is Hollywood's highest paid actress with estimated earnings of $33 million in the last year, according to Forbes.

She easily surpassed this year's Best Actress Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, who came in second with $26 million, and pushed Kristen Stewart of the "Twilight" series, who topped the list last year, into third place with earnings of $22 million.

"Hollywood hasn't shied away from Jolie. She's still one of the few actresses who can demand a paycheck north of $15 million for the right movie - like Disney's retelling of the old Sleeping Beauty story, Maleficent," reporter Dorothy Pomerantz, wrote on Forbes.com.

Jolie, 38, made headlines earlier this year when she revealed she had a double mastectomy after learning she had inherited a high risk of breast cancer. "Maleficent" will be released next summer.

The celebrity mother, who has three biological and three adopted children with her fiance, actor Brad Pitt, rose from third place on 2012's list.

Jennifer Aniston, whose newest movie "We're the Millers" will be released in U.S. theaters next week, captured fourth place with earnings of $20 million and Emma Stone, who appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man" with real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield was No. 5 with $16 million.

Forbes talked to agents, managers and other people with knowledge of the film industry to compile the ranking based on estimated earnings from June 2012 to June 2013.

Sandra Bullock, who was third in last year's list, dropped to No. 7 with estimated earnings of $14 million and Julia Roberts slipped from sixth to 10th place this year, taking home $11 million.

Oscar-winner Bullock wowed audiences with the female buddy comedy "The Heat." Her 2009 film "The Blind Side," who which she won a best actress Academy Award, earned $309 million on a budget of $30 million, according to Forbes.

Mila Kunis, at No. 9, was a newcomer to the ranking this year with earnings of $11 million. Two films she starred in, "Ted" and "Oz: The Great and Powerful," earned a combined $1 billion at the global box office. Reuters

Canada coroner says Glee star Monteith died of heroin-alcohol overdose

CALGARY, Alberta  - Canadian authorities on Tuesday said Cory Monteith, the 31-year-old heartthrob of Fox's musical-comedy television series "Glee," died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.

The British Columbia Coroners Service said in a release that post-mortem testing on the star, who was found dead on Saturday in a Vancouver hotel room, died of "a mixed-drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol."

However, the service said Monteith's death was unlikely to have been intentional.

"It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident," the Coroners Service said.  — Reuters
