iPhone 6 may have rounded casing, leaked images suggest
Apple's iPhone 6 could be a bit larger and round-edged compared to previous versions of the popular smartphone—that is if images recently leaked online are accurate.
Tech site Mashable on Thursday cited images posted by blogger Sonny Dickson of what he claims to be images of the next generation iPhone.
Mashable said the images suggest "all the signature iPhone design elements" including a camera and flash port, along with the familiar Apple logo.
"But that's where the iPhone similarities end, as the larger size and rounded-edge frame shown in the photos are far more reminiscent of the iPad than any previous version of Apple's smartphone," it added.
It added the images appeared to jibe with a description of the next iPhone by a report on the South China Morning Post.
SCMPs report had cited industry insiders saying the next iPhone will come in two 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, and may hit stores in September.
"For its part, Apple hasn't officially announced the iPhone 6, or discussed any plans to discontinue the iPhone 5C," it added. — TJD, GMA News
