ASUS Philippines debuts new high-powered notebooks and PCs

Computer maker and vendor ASUS unveiled its new line of gaming laptops, PCs, and notebooks for the Philippine market last October 21 at the Valkyrie Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The company’s latest offerings, including the ROG gaming notebooks and Zen Pro PC series, feature 6th-generation Intel Core processors and run on Microsoft Windows 10.

ASUS Philippines executives went up the stage to introduce the company’s new products and talk about their hardware specifications and special features. Among those present were Country Manager George Su (who introduced the new ROG gaming line and the ASUS VivoBook 4K), Desktop Product Manager Stephen Cokeng (who discussed the Zen Pro series), and Notebook Product Manager Jackie Tai (who presented the ZenBook series).

Powered by i7 quad-core processors, the ROG line includes three models: the G752, GL552, and G501. In addition to optimal hardware specifications, the G752 sports an anti-ghosting gaming keyboard, Nvidia G-Sync technology, a unique thermal design with dedicated cooling modules, and a maximized viewing experience care of its FHD display.

The GL552 spotlights ASUS-exclusive GameFirst III network optimization to minimize lag during gameplay, a highly responsive keyboard well-suited for gaming, a user-friendly design, and maximized storage options. The line also includes what ASUS is calling the “thinnest 4k gaming notebook” in the country — the G501, which clocks in at 20.6mm in height and weighs 2.06kg.

Zen masters

Despite being the only desktop unit exhibited during the event, the Zen AiO Pro Z240 is certainly no pushover, with decent hardware specs, enhanced wireless home connectivity, improved data transfer speed, voice and facial recognition, motion control, a powerful sound system, and an elegant, all-aluminum design.

As for notebooks, the ZenBook Pro UX501 leads the charge, with a slim chassis, a screen resolution four times greater than FHD, and IPS technology with 178-degree viewing angles to keep colors and contrast consistent regardless of the user’s viewing position. Other models include the ZenBook UX305LA, the ASUS K555LB, and the ASUS VivoBook 4K.
